| Justine Chim is the Director and Principal Consultant of MY Consulting. MY Consulting is a unique company who specializes in ergonomics, health and safety and wellness management to clients in Asia Pacific region. She has a decade’s experience in ergonomics, occupational health and safety management and human resources management for more than five countries in the last decade. She has been teaching ergonomics in Universities in Hong Kong and Australia. She is the Affiliate Associate Lecturer of the University of Adelaide, Australia and responsible for postgraduate occupational health and safety management program in the online platform. Her consultancy and research interests include: office ergonomics, injury prevention and management, manual handling risk management, workplace ergonomics and teaching. Justine was named as “Hong Kong's First Masters Graduate in Ergonomics” in the media release by the Australian Consulate- General, Hong Kong and was interviewed by academic institutes, newspaper, radio and professional associations in Hong Kong and overseas.
Her professional development has resulted in a range of academic achievements: first class honours in the Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in HR Management; the first Hong Kong graduate from the University of Queensland’s Master of Ergonomics program; and being awarded the Top OHS Graduate Student Medal in the South Australia Division by the Safety Institute of Australia at the Postgraduate Occupational Health and Safety management program at the University of Adelaide. In addition, she was the Human Resources Manager (Employee Safety and Services) with The Hong Kong Jockey Club and was the only appointed manager who planned and executed the key strategies of corporate occupational health and safety and ergonomics functions. In addition, she was the HR and Occupational Health and Safety Manager and business management partner of Fibrelogic Pipe Systems in South Australia. Prior to her employment with WorkCover South Australia and Arnott’s Biscuits –South Australia, in health and safety role, she undertook human resources project management at DP World (Hong Kong) plus as a human resources executive successfully set up/review the HR departments for ten local and multinational corporations in Asia and Australia.
