It is commonly INCORRECT to interpret that Ergonomics is plural while Ergonomic is singular.
Ergonomics is a noun and Ergonomic is an adjective.
"Ergonomics" is a noun, referring to the practice of ergonomics, such as ergonomics consultant who use ergonomics principles to advise the design and to evaluate tasks, jobs, products, environments and systems in order to make them compatible with the needs, abilities and limitations of people.
The terms should be expressed in ergonomics consultant, ergonomics evaluation, ergonomics program or ergonomics assessment.
"Ergonomic"(or "Ergonomically") is an adjective, referring to the inherent attributes of the design, tasks, jobs, products, environments and systems. For example, ergonomic chair means the chair has been designed using the principles of ergonomics.
There is no such important meaning of ergonomic consultant, ergonomic evaluation, ergonomic program or ergonomic assessment.
